Technical principle and use specification of low-speed centrifuge
The laboratory centrifuge is a kind of centrifuge machine. Like the laboratory centrifuge, the centrifuge is used to separate different components of the sample. The principle is an instrument that uses centrifugal force to separate and precipitate the mixed solution.
Centrifuges are divided according to the rotational speed. Like laboratory centrifuges, they can be divided into: low-speed centrifuges, high speed centrifuges, and ultra high speed centrifuges.
Different types of centrifuges have different usage specifications. The following describes the usage specifications of low-speed centrifuge for reference:
- Before use, check whether the buttons of the centrifuge are in the right specified positions, that is, the power is in the off position, and the speed button is in the zero position.
- Before centrifugation, transfer the material to be centrifuged into a centrifuge tube of suitable size. The amount should not be too much to avoid overflow (generally 2/3 of the volume of the centrifuge tube is appropriate). Put this centrifuge tube into the outer casing, and then add buffer water between the centrifuge tube and the outer casing.
- Place the centrifuge tube containing the liquid, together with the casing, on the platform scale for balance. If it is unbalanced, adjust the amount of liquid and buffer water in the centrifuge tube to achieve a balance. The two opposite centrifuge tubes in the centrifuge must be balanced, otherwise the centrifuge components will be damaged and even serious accidents will be caused.
- Put the balanced centrifuge tubes into the centrifuge symmetrically, and cover the centrifuge lid tightly.
- When starting the centrifuge, first turn on the power switch, and then slowly turn the speed knob to increase the speed gradually. Until the desired speed is increased, adjust the timing knob at the same time to set the centrifugation time. Or just set the speed and time and press START button if it is with a LCD display.
- When the centrifugation time is reached, turn off the start switch, and then adjust the speed knob to reduce the speed. Finally, turn the knob to “0”. After the centrifuge stops automatically, open the centrifuge lid and take out the sample.
- After use, wash the rubber pad in the casing, rinse the outer casing and centrifuge tube, and place it upside down to dry.
